Sound treatment

Though little dialogue (besides one or two sentences) will come from the main protagonists, I plan to have a considerable amount of dialogue come from ancillary characters that fuel the film. I have specific people in mind for certain characters (a bus driver, the baby, the cat-eater, the cannibal) and I’m in the process of contacting them about it.
Despite my background in an passion for music, I don’t plan on including any sort of musical score for the film, except possibly a short clip to go along with the beginning and end credits. The “music” for the film, I’m thinking, will be the constant ambient noise of the buses, the crowds, and the cityscape. I plan on making recordings of bus trips I go on in order to give a sense of authenticity to the soundscape. Because the Reid and Gemma characters are actually in separate cities, I hope to record buses in both the Vancouver area and in a different city (probably Calgary or somewhere on Vancouver Island) as a way of hinting at this, however imperceptibly.
